Can you count how many great-grandchildren I have? I’ll give you a hint: you’ll need just about all your fingers and toes. One more will join my tribe in February! I don’t know why I got started making sleepwear for my great-grands, but I did, and it was a lot of fun thinking and praying about each one as I made their pajamas. Aren’t my great-grandchildren wonderful to see?
Perhaps it’s my many years, but lately I have been overwhelmed with God’s blessings. When I married widowed Les with his three little boys who were ages 5, 4 and 2, I was an innocent 19-year-old who knew nothing more than Les loved me and I loved him. The children were wonderful bonuses! Our romance was totally non-typical, and we caused distress with our families who thought I was making a big mistake, but our amazing adventures began, and our families eventually gave their blessings.
I learned to trust God early on for my future and His will for me and I’m so grateful. Two days before our first anniversary, we added our fourth son to complete the family and now look at how many I have! My sons gave me 14 wonderful grandchildren and I now have 18 precious great-grandchildren (with one more on the way) to hug and love!
Now add the hundreds and hundreds of grandchildren I claim throughout the Spanish-speaking world. For me to be in touch with so many is absolutely amazing, and I am overjoyed as I cheer them on and watch them grow in the Lord and their ministries.
Of course, I thank the Lord constantly for you, too. I am so grateful for your partnership with us at LOGOI as we proclaim the Good News and help build up the body of Christ. I know Les would be thrilled to see what God is accomplishing through our ministry. One of our long-time friends sent a Christmas note that said it very well, “LOGOI has impacted thousands and seen many brought to the Lord. What a great legacy!”
So, thank you very much for your continued partnership, encouragement, and prayer. We thank God for you! I just love being Abuela Carolina to so many and am thrilled God is still using me!
Happy New Year and may the Lord richly bless and use you,
