July 2021 Prayer and Praise

Covid is still raging in South America – with eight times the world’s death rate. Vaccines are not available and pushing millions back into poverty. https://www.wsj.com/articles/south-america-is-now-covid-19-hot-spot-witheighttimes-the-worlds-death-rate-11624299176

As I keep in touch with so many of our national missionaries, the news is bleak.

I wrote about Lázaro in Cuba last month: not able to move about and so he and his baseball team are doing some local construction work to earn some pesos to buy food to feed their community. What servants of God they are!

In Chile, national missionary Pamela Henriquez writes that their church is still online and they are so weary of being isolated. But praise God! This family has been able to get the vaccine.

Beatriz Valdes, national missionary in Merida, Mexico was able to get all the way to the US to get her vaccine. In the meantime, her ministry continues to grow as it helps divorced people find God’s peace and rest.

These are just a few of our wonderful brothers and sisters who are faithfully serving the Lord in spite of all the restrictions and traumas that surround them.

Thank you for praying!
