November 2025 Prayer and Praise

We are always hopeful things are getting better in Cuba, but we just heard about Joel who was offered a university scholarship if he would deny Christ. He declined that offer and was sent to jail. He is still preaching the gospel today in Cuba and has been arrested 17 times.

The report said, “Cuba’s Communist government has opposed the spread of Christianity among its nearly 11 million citizens since the Cuban Revolution of 1959, led by Fidel Castro. Christian leaders like Joel have borne the brunt of this opposition, often facing imprisonment, harassment and intense pressure from government officials.”

Meanwhile, Cuba’s power outages last from 10 to 24 hours making it difficult to stay in touch with our Cuban brothers and sisters. A lengthy draught has also dried up much of their drinking water in many places.

It is no wonder why so many Cubans flee. Please pray for Joel and for our Christian brothers and sisters in Cuba.
