Letters to Carlos

Letters to Carlos is a beautiful collection of encouragement and advice from an “old” pastor to a “young” pastor and anyone wanting to serve the Lord. The author, Dr. Les Thompson, deeply loved God’s Word and invested his life in encouraging others to “joyfully obey his laws and search for Him with all their hearts” (Psalm 119:2). With candid honesty and tenderness, Les talks about his struggles and joys as he learned to trust God on everything from leading a church to raising children.
 
Having spent his entire adult life serving and teaching pastors, Dr. Thompson was a mentor and teacher to thousands from Cuba to Argentina and everywhere in between. The questions and answers that make up the fabric of this book are representatives of the many letters and emails Les received over his lifetime. It was the last book he wrote and was completed shortly before going home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 30, 2011.
 
Les Thompson was born and raised in Cuba, where his parents served as missionaries. He was ordained to the ministry in 1953 and founded the ministry of LOGOI in 1968. He was known to thousands throughout the Spanish world as the “Pastor to Pastors” for his great love for all those called to proclaim the Gospel. The ministry of LOGOI continues today under the leadership of his youngest son, Edward.
