Dear LOGOI Family,
Every January, LOGOI usually allows me to brag a little bit about my marvelous family, which now encompasses 55 strong. Next month, I will joyfully welcome my 22nd great-grandchild to the Thompson Tribe. Isn’t that amazing?
This year, I get to do something different. In 2023, I decided to write my “love story” for my grandchildren and great-grandchildren. I want them to know how God worked in my life to marry my dear husband, Les, and start an amazing whirlwind life that is so crazy, only God could have made it happen.
So, this year, instead of a letter there is an eBook for you titled An Unexpected Love Story. It’s a fun, easy read that I think you will enjoy and perhaps even become inspired and encouraged to “trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” (See Proverbs 3:5-6).
Here is the dedication I wrote in the book for my grandchildren. It applies to you, too:
I think and pray for each one of you, my 14 grandchildren. Each of you is wonderfully unique and special to me. Not one is like another! I have been privileged to watch each one of you grow up and become responsible adults. I am thrilled to be able to say that I know each one of you has been claimed to not just be in the Thompson Family, but in God’s forever family. Thank you for giving me your love through the years.
