I’m not sure why, but I get a kick out of seeing my mom read a “book” on her cell phone. She loves to read and well, it’s just so modern.
A lot of people just can’t do it. I understand that. There is something warm and special about holding an actual book compared to reading on one of our amazing super-computer-smart-phones we walk around with in our pockets.
Most of us don’t remember the first smartphone released back in 1994. It was the “Simon Personal Communicator” created by IBM. It sold for $1,100 back then and in six months, over 50,000 were sold. It wasn’t until 2000 that smartphones were able to connect to the internet on 3G networks. We’ve come a long way in a short amount of time and most experts claim smartphone technology is still in its infancy.
It was a very difficult decision years ago when we determined to primarily focus on delivering our Bible courses and resources electronically. It seemed almost absurd to think pastors and leaders would be able to study and read books on a smartphone… as well as have one!
Today, over 70 percent of every LOGOI book, course, or article is read via a smartphone.
Analía Borracci Agostini in Argentina, for example, loves LOGOI’s accessibility. “I am so grateful for LOGOI’s Biblical Counseling courses,” she told us, “and I am able to access you anywhere I go. Most of our counseling is trying to help couples with many marriage problems because they ignore the Scriptures and power of God.
