Who Are National Missionaries?
National missionaries are men and women from the Spanish-speaking world who are already involved in ministries and support themselves financially through a wide range of jobs and careers. They feel called by God to proclaim the Gospel and minister to particular needs in their communities. They are in need of very practical and ongoing Bible training and help.

Our Mission
LOGOI’s mission is to help equip national pastors and missionaries to “do His work and build up the church, the body of Christ" (Ephesians 4:12). We do so by providing trusted on-the-job Bible resources, courses, ideas, help and encouragement national missionaries can put to immediate use. Just think, $5 provides an entire month of free Bible resources to a national missionary. It's a terrific way to invest in "building up the church, the body of Christ."
How Does Five Dollar Mission Work?
THE COST OF TRADITIONAL INTERNATIONAL MISSIONARIES
According to the data from missionary sending agencies (such as the Southern Baptist Convention), the average cost to support and send one (1) international missionary is at least $52,000 a year. That’s more than the median household income in the United States. If the missionary has a family, the costs can easily double.
$52,000 VS. $60
The financial comparison between a $52,000 traditional international missionary and a $60 LOGOI national missionary is dramatic. For the cost of sending and supporting one international missionary, you could support 865 LOGOI national missionaries.
HOW CAN IT COST ONLY $5 PER MONTH…$60 PER YEAR?
Traditional international missionaries require support for housing, groceries, travel, insurance, and all the various expenses that go along with their respective lives and ministries. A LOGOI national missionary does not receive any financial support from LOGOI. Like the Apostle Paul, they are “tent-makers” surviving financially with regular jobs. $5 provides one month of free on-the-job Bible resources, courses, and encouragement.
What Happens With The $5 Monthly Donations?
We take your $5 and turn it into Bible resources, courses, ideas, and practical advice specifically designed for on-the-job Bible training. It is FREE to all of our national missionaries and delivered via the internet. With each $5 invested, you are directly involved in "equipping God’s people to do His work and build up the church, the body of Christ" (Ephesians 4:12). Not bad for 5 little dollars.
What Are Five Dollar Missionaries Doing?
LOGOI’s national missionaries are men and women who love the Lord, who want to be lights in a dark world, and know Jesus really is the answer. Some are planting churches. Some are ministering to widows and orphans and unwed mothers. Some are bringing hope and peace to prisoners. Some are building wells or clinics, or schools. Some are teaching Sunday School or leading a Bible study. Some are deacons and elders in their churches…many are even pastors. As they go about fulfilling their respective “special callings,” they are "helping the other parts [of the body] grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love" (Ephesians 4:16).
Yes, for $5 a month, you really can support a national missionary.
LOGOI National Missionaries are doing everything a traditional international missionary is doing, but at a fraction of the cost. What they often lack is the Bible and leadership training traditional missionaries have received. That’s where we come in with our $5 monthly support. And remember, our national missionaries were born and raised there, already speak the language, and are already involved in ministry. They understand their cultures, understand the needs of their communities, and are already at work.

Our Purpose
Founded in 1968 by the Rev. Les Thompson, Ph.D. the ministry of LOGOI is about “equipping God’s people for works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up” (Eph. 4:12-13). God has used the ministry of LOGOI to help, equip, and encourage tens of thousands of pastors and church leaders throughout the world. Thousands of churches have been planted, hundreds of churches and ministries have been revitalized, and countless lives have been brought to a saving faith in Jesus Christ. And praise God, it’s all being done by national pastors and leaders!
